International Student Orientation Leader

(May 2023 - August 2023)

As an international student, working with Rutgers Global allowed me to give back to my community.

As an orientation leader for international students, I welcomed the newest batch of international students to campus. I conducted engaging workshops on getting used to life at Rutgers and the US. Along with 4 other orientation leaders, I hosted a panel to answer questions about undergraduate student life, and designed an engaging social activity for students to connect.

The experience helped me broaden my understanding of various topics and sparked a passion in me to work more extensively with this population.

Peer Instructor for RU-FIT

(August 2023 - May 2024)

RU-FIT is a graded 1-credit student-led seminar that sets up international students for successful academic college careers. As an RU-FIT peer instructor, I developed and delivered an 11-week course where I evaluated and provided constructive feedback on course assignments, contributing to students' overall academic performance and success in their respective courses.

I had the opportunity to empower myself and inform my teaching through pedagogical training focused on working with multilingual learners.
